Saturday 20th June U12’s hurlers met Shamrocks in Shanbally. Great overall performance by Laochra Óg in Shanbally, taking the game to Shamrocks from the beginning and had a good lead built up by half time. Two goals a piece by Conor Lucey and Luke Duggan in that first half. With the wind at their back the players played some beautiful hurling and never slacked off throughout the second half. Some inspiring defending from goalkeeper Eoin Healy and Lorcan Flanagan kept Shamrocks at bay.
